FIRE AND FLAME
FICTION BY ROBERT CRAIG
Darkness and dunes. Late and tired. The two men sit in old beach chairs in front of the fire. Burning the leftover wood after a long day. They don't talk. They just sit and stare at the flames dancing in the dark. Every so often a breeze kicks up and the fire roars and dances and cracks.
No neighbors or lights for miles. The darkness cloaks the night in solace.
Barefoot. He buries his feet in the warm sand close to the fire. The heat slowly retreating as the burn grows smaller. Bruce watches Roy in the faint light. The shifting shadows and flickering glow. Bearded and stoic.
The burning logs fall and the fire shifts. Bottles empty. They finished the beer.
Roy gets up and tosses on the last remaining logs with a burst of sparks. Flames fly. He stands there watching. Palms to the flame. Feeling the heat. He looks over at Bruce.
Soon the fire is roaring again. Smoke shifts as breezes blow off the dunes.
Then Roy walks to the other side of the blaze and in the faint light, with his back to the fire, he unzips his jeans, pulls out his dick and stands there waiting to go. He holds himself slightly swollen. After a minute, Bruce joins him: he takes out his own and starts to piss. He points out and up. His strong stream reflecting the firelight then disappearing into the night.
Roy waits; he still cannot go yet. He hesitates. Then finally he starts to piss. Some spray and then a heavy rush. With his dick in his hand, he watches the piss hit the sand in front of him. Bruce stands next to him watching him go and as Roy finishes, Bruce slips his hand down the back of Roy's jeans, sliding his fingers down his ass. In between. Where it is warm. He can feel the soft hair. Tender skin.
When Roy is done, he shakes off the drips, he adjusts his balls, fondling and feeling full. He smells his hand. Then holds his hand up for Bruce to smell the long day. Bruce squeezes Roy's ass playfully. And Roy reaches and puts his arm around Bruce, pulling him in close. Holding him tight. He smells of wood and smoke. Fire and flame.
Above them, smoke signals and star dust.
